MY STATEMENT OF INTENT   "The Disenchanted" is a new TV fantasy drama which will appear on the streaming service Netflix part of their original series. A show that subverts stereotypes by featuring 3 black 15-year-old girls, Aliya, Huda and Ifrah. This narrative choice challenges the lack of diversity in the BAME community of the fantasy genre, offering a inclusive perspective to the 232 million subscribers on Netflix. The storyline begins in a park as Ifrah and Huda enjoy a day out (equilibrium). However, Ifrah out of boredom decides to Challenge Huda to enter the 'Forest of Secrets' without going insane, in reality a black figure awaits Huda from 'The Other World' (disequilibrium).
