Camerawork blog tasks

Three camera shots: The opening establishing shot shows the main character identifying herself in order to assemble and persuade the other characters to join a secret army. This helps show how desperate they are to solve their current crisis.  Two shots is used 0.08 seconds into the clip, adding danger and intensity as it shows the characters figuring out how to come in contact with the doctor. This has the effect on the audience as it allows them to see multiple peoples ways of coming up with a solution. The close-up shot at 0.30 on the characters shocked/ confused face due to the reaction of conversation before hand allows the audience to draw their attention to the characters facial expressions. Camera angle: The high angle shot at 3.33 of the voltage going up the pole shows the audience how powerful it is.

Stranger Things Analysis.

  Lightning In the first 8 minutes of Stranger Things the lighting varies. As in the opening the lights flicker in the first scene of the laboratory corridor, this shows the impending danger that is yet to come in the following scenes. During the rest of the opening of stranger things the use of the contrast that is also known as 'binary opposition'of light vs dark shows a safe setting when the lights are bright but also a sense of eeriness and danger when the lights are dim and flickering. setting/costume The neighbourhood setting helps to indicate the dark and dangerous experience that the fictional character is about to go through. It is clearly a build up of the science-fiction show as the neighbourhood has a sense of a historical past. The costume supports this with the character wearing baggy dark clothing maybe showing the character is not trying to stand out and might imply they want to be protected . Key Concepts film poster analysis.

  Language. The Avengers Endgame film poster is instantly eye catching, due to the films title being written in bold  writing. This shows that it's the title as it the brightest thing on the poster. The use of a dark background might imply that it's a action movie and connotations of danger. The collage of characters maybe suggest diversity amongst the superheroes. Industries. Avengers end game is a marvel studio film starring Robert Downy Jr. The director was Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. It made $ 2,797,501,328 at the worldwide box office against a budget of $356,000,000. Audience. The target audience for Avengers Endgame is probably teenagers aged 12-16 as the film was rated PG-13 by imbd. The target gender for this film could be female or male as it's representative for both genders.  The audience may enjoy avengers endgame because it's action packed which allows the audience to feel as if they’ve escaped reality.
